The first amendment and Appalachia lost a champion last week with the passing of Tom Gish, publisher of The Mountain Eagle newspaper in Whitesburg, Kentucky. In 2005 Gish shared his stories of 50 years publishing a community newspaper with WMMT in Whitesburg. Mimi Pickering and Mia Frederick produced this story.
